Certifications and Guidelines

ISO 9001:2015

To ensure the ability to regularly provide products and services that meet customer and applicable mandatory requirements, in particular:

  • increase opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction;
  • address risks and opportunities linked with the relevant context and objectives;
  • prove compliance with specified QMS requirements.

FDS Italy is certified by a Swiss Institute to prove its own capabilities through an International Authority the audits of which are extremely severe.

This is why the model adopted hinges on:

  • customer focus;
  • leadership;
  • proactive involvement of people;
  • process-based approach;
  • improvement;
  • evidence-based decision-making process;
  • relationship management.

In summary, quality is the meeting point of different needs through a proactive approach focusing on:

EFFECTIVENESS

The quality of products and/or services and of personal relationships.

EFFICIENCY

Optimisation of costs and timing with increased expected services.

RESILIENCE

Response to change, anticipation of the future.

In FDS Italy working environment we strive to make these factors coexist:

  • willingness and ability to change and keep pace with progress;
  • ability to change quickly;
  • ethics and pride in working within the organisation;
  • ethics, respect and pride in working for our Customers and prospects;
  • motivation to work towards a common goal, spirit of collaboration.

ISO 14001:2015

The belief that respect for the environment is “a value” per se has led FDS Italy through a process of constant improvement that did not aim at being self-referential. For this reason, we have embarked on a path that in June 2021 led FDS to successfully complete the certification process of ISO 14001:2015.

We firmly believe that focus and respect for the environment should be an integral part of FDS Italy’s values. At the same time, we have asked all our strategic suppliers and those having significant environmental footprint, to adopt a similar certification process.

FDS Italy also performs periodic audits of suppliers’ compliance with regulations to raise awareness on environmental issues.

ISO 31000

ISO 31000 is the international standard aimed at proactively improving management and managerial efficiency in companies, it provides a comprehensive set of principles and guidelines to help organisations perform risk analysis and assessment. FDS Italy has decided to adopt models that would lead to corporate compliance with the principles and guidelines of ISO 31000 standard through an approach having the following characteristics:

  • embedded in the other activities of the organization;
  • structured and multidisciplinary;
  • tailored to the organization and its goals;
  • inclusive to involve stakeholders;
  • dynamic and timely;
  • based on top-quality information;
  • taking into account human behaviour and cultural elements;
  • constantly reviewed for improvement.

Integration with ISO 14001 also passes through risk assessment that can be divided into 4 stages:

  • hazard identification;
  • hazard characterisation;
  • exposure assessment;
  • risk characterisation.
