Installation and disassembly
The installation of radome structures can be performed either by customers under FDS Italy’s supervision or by FDS Italy’s specialized crews. Staff specializing in climbing techniques ensure radome assembly also on sites where there are strong winds and/or critical weather conditions.
Maintenance
Upon customer request, FDS Italy team is available at short notice to perform any maintenance activities needed on any type of radome structure anywhere in the world. Radome downtime is minimized by use of mountaineering work expertise and tools, thereby reducing time spent in erecting scaffolding. Specialized maintenance teams having global experience are provided by FDS Italy to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and/or repairs.
Reconditioning of existing radomes (also not FDS’)
- Cleaning of radome structures.
- Repair of structural parts and accessories.
- External repainting.
- Replacement of damaged/not working parts.
- Check of torque wrench setting of panel and base anchoring bolts and, if necessary, new torquing.
Modification
- Structural modifications.
- Installation of new accessories.
- Modification of external colour.
Consultancy
- Site survey on existing Radomes to check the status and offer proper intervention.
- Check for hidden damage (effects caused by hailstorms, tornadoes, etc.).
Applications
FDS Italy considers it is important to develop radomes through tailored solutions for specific antennas. Close cooperation increases radome performance to meet even the most stringent requirements.
